Palace Server client installation issues
Hi,
Every attempt i have made to install palace has been fruitless. To begin with i just didn't know the directory path which would install the directory where i wanted. Therefore i gave up but then i decided i would try again. I did eventually figure out all the problems i had, but now i face a new problem. When the shell setup says "Would you like to start your server now?" I say yes but it says it cannot point to the httpd file located within the palace/bin file. however i know for a fact that both start-httpd and httpd are both there as they are listed in FTP. A solution to this problem would be nice. But wait for it i have yet a further problem. In one of my previously failed attempts i managed to get my palace running, however this is in-accessible because i cannot log in and all passwords are rejected (i am presuming that all files which were installed with it where removed therefor making it a dud palace). Is there any explanation or remedy for this? Running on: Linux Intel Pentium Ram (your guess is as good as mine :P ) All this is a remote host on a shell server somewhere in the UK if that helps. Please help! |
If its on a remote host somewhere located in the UK, its pointless of even attempting in doing so. For the Palace Server to be installed and running correctly, you need to untar the package in linux. Red Hat Linux is a prefered by many. Im not sure if it will work with FreeBSD or BSD, or any other Unix Software. It's been awhile since i've installed the Server software on linux. Sorry, if this couldnt give you the answer you might have hoped of getting.
