Maarten, your name is the only one that I see right off hand that is familiar to me. Loooooong long ago.... I was a palace regular. I even took over and Ran Crossroads.hotcity.com for a good while after Alissa decided she didn't have time.

Anyway, I was bored and decided I'd see what was going on in palace world and I see that SOME people have been keeping it going. Great news!

I'm running OSX 10.5 so I only found Palacechat for this machine.... but I still have Disks with all my old palace stuff on them.... maybe I need to break them out and get to work. :)

Anyway... I'm rambling.

Hey Torn, welcome back :)

Your name does ring a bell, but I get the feeling we only ran into each other yeeeaaars ago. Palace is still fun to hang around so it is well worth the trouble to get your stuff back. I think Palacechat even imports prop bags!

Just doesn't do scripts yet, not the iptscrae we know anyway.

By the way, do you happen to have a backup of the hotcity scriptbarn palace?
I setup a script / tutorial Palace and got the website up but missing all the media.

I threw out boxes of old floppies and CDs just the other day. Why is it that every time I do that, I really wish I hadn't? :o

Yeah, always a shame. The minute it is really gone you realise 30 minutes of CD backup would have saved years of digital memories.. well that was the case with me anyway :)
(only to find out later I did backup everything like a pack rat freak)

Actually I think I do have the entire Scriptbarn AND Crossroads on CD. It will take me a while to go thru all of it, but you are more than welcome to it.

That would be really cool, actually crossroads was a nice place too. I can check and see how many Palace servers my box can run, perhaps revitalize both for fun.

And yes I remember lol despite all the mess it was a fun time, the community pulling together and all that.

Anyway, cool you got the backups and yep the Scriptbarn would be great to start with, if you got spare time to dig around please do :)

Actually tried to organize a 24HOp a while ago but it deflated for some reason. Maybe it is too ambitious, maybe people just want to be ordered around, who knows :P

I started using palace again unfortunately I am not one of several who back up their prop bags on disc or anything, Now I wish I would have years ago! I remember when I first started palace many years ago and was a wiz at this very old palace, Don't remember the name now it's been so long. It used to be popular back then, Now I think it is dead and gone :( I had met Mystican on my travels and I remember one av that he had made for me in multiple colours. :) I don't think I will forget that av as it was my favourite before he made multiple colours of it, lol.

I spoke with Mystican ages ago now until I had lost contact with him, But he had informed me of how a 24HR hop was tried to be put together but it never happened. I had always asked him every once in a blue moon if there was ever gonna be another one. Honestly I miss the 24HR hops! I always looked forward to those every year!! And now that there hasn't been one, Palace feels extremely weird with out them!! I would love to help try and make another one happen, How I can help I am not sure but I would love to!!
