HI,

Just one more quick question...

Since the old directory is no more, what is the new IP address and address of the new directory? I figured it might be something like

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX thepalaceportal.com

If this is correct then all I need is the IP address.

Well I answered part of my own question, as to the IP address. I went into my windows PC and pingd the address www.palaceplanet.net it displayed the numeric IP of 74.86.242.239

So I know the IP address is supose to be

74.86.242.239

I think the address is supose to be palaceplanet.net/forum/directory/

I do know that if the server can not connect to the directory it could cause it to slow down since the server will be busy trying to send requests to the directory directory.thepalace.com which is not longer there. I will try this and see how it works

Ok cross posting is a bit confusing?!?! Answered this one in the other thread already.

directory.thepalace.com is poiting to the right directory, you need to sign up first. Read the palaceportal website for instructions.

so that means you don't need to add the IP re-direct in the host file.
