Hosting Multiple Servers on One Machine?

Hey there all. It's been awhile since I've posted here.

The first palace server I installed is running quite nicely, and has been for over 2 years now. I'm very happy!

Now, I have a friend that had some personal trouble with a hosting company, and I offered to host a palace for him. I got it all to install okay, but it seems that I can't run more than one instance of the pserver binary. I've configured it to listen on the proper port at the proper IP address.. I'm more than positive that this isn't a networking error.

Is anyone here Linux savvy to where they could help me figure out how to run more than one instance?

did you set the server up in another folder with its own unique listening port? You can share the IP but both the listening port (something like 10001) and the Palace server port (9998) have to be different or frontend will not load. Did you do a install in another folder or just copy?

There is no real trick other then you can not share ports on the same IP and you have to be sure all the new ports are open on the firewall as well.

Actually, a did get this figured out. I know that it wasn't a networking problem, since I had all of the ports allocated properly. I didn't patch my pserver binary first, so that was really where the problem was, haha.
