I can't get the transparency for my sprite right. I use PSP, and I've tried setting the transparency color, and copying it while the background is transparent. Thanks in advance.
Not sre how to do this in PSP but I can tell you the basics I use in Photoshop:
Export the picture as a transparent GIF 98a. This hsould be a expot mode available in PSP. First you convert it to a Palace GIF with the Palace palette, make sure you have 100% green or some contrasting color as background/ transparant color.
Try and find the GIF 98a export option. If its possible select the background color. Now you should have a proper transparent picture.

The only solution that comes to mind is if your trying to take out a background of an image that your copy and pasting from PSP or Photoshop is you will have to go into the palace edit application and by holding alt while under the delete/erase option manually take the background out. And if your trying to make the image transparent when you click the prop to edit it you'll need to check the 'ghost' box.
From what I gathered by what you read that is the only solution that I know of.
