Please explain what it is your trying to do. What do you mean with "install palace on my domain"?

Have you registered a domain and want to link it to your Palace server or are you trying to install a Palace server on your home computer? Or are you trying to instal Palace on your website? or... the meaning of sentences like this are to many.

So please be specific, tell us what you want, what you have tried and how you would want it :)

1.I have a domain that I want to link to my palace server.
2.I want to run my own palace server so I can make room backgrounds
and upload avatars etc but I have palace client server and I dont
think that'll help me much at all. Will it?I want my own private server
one for my members to switch to rooms etc.
3.I am having a hard time trying to link it on my domain like I see it on
the palace website so people can get on it and I'm having a hard time installing the correct palace.

Please let me know all of what I have to do because I do not understand
the manuals well.I dont think anyone would set up one for me but that would be good if they could do the online part.

I am in a different account because I was having login problems with my other one.

It sounds to me you are trying to do to many things at the same time.
All of the things you want are possible, but lets start at the beginning:

I have a domain that I want to link to my palace server.
What have you setup? It sounds like you did not install the Palace Server yet, you can find the windows version in the downloads section. Here is a direct link to the server download:

SERVER DOWNLOAD

Are you going to install this on your personal computer? To safe you some network trouble, if possible, install it on the computer that is directly connected to the internet. Not one on a proxy or other type of network.
(if you don't know what i'm talking about just install it where you want it and we will see lol)

Do you have a static IP for your internet connection? Meaning does your IP number change or do you have DSL or something with the same IP number. You can check your IP by going to: http://whatismyip.com

Try setting up the Palace first and we will talk about the rest when your Palace is working :)

And please remember its a lot of work to get things setup properly so you need to take your time.:mumbles:

Once its setup you will have a lot of fun though! :crazy2:

good luck!

p.s.

If your having problems with an account please try to fix it first. you can ask for help if possible. Passwords can be re-requested.

MsB0st0n 01-09-2007 10:14 AM

Ok,I have that installed already though I may have to reinstall it though
I tried re-requesting it but it was always saying my passwrd was typed wrong.
Which palace do I have to have?does it matter?because the palace server just look like a little box.How do I set up my own palace?just install the palace client thng & type in the registration code?My Ip came up on the first server installation and I dont think I have a static one because I'm seeing three different Ips.Am I suppose to just use the one thats on the connection?like when you put your mouse over it.

MsB0st0n 01-09-2007 11:20 AM

Ok,I installed the palace chat server and the palace chat client thing but I'm lost and I dont think I have a static IP because the IP is different from when I click on my connection thing but it had an IP selected when I installed the server.Am I suppose to have the The client palace?or ?because the other downloads on the site seems to not work ya know with this?http://practice.chatserve.com/

I have a palace on my comp but is that gonna help me with the server or do I need something else?

maarten 01-09-2007 11:44 AM

Yes the Palace server is just a little box with text, and yup you need your client installed to control it. Building rooms, scripting, putting avatars in. Its all done with the Palace client.

Sounds to me like you need to slow down a bit and just start reading the manuals. They really do explain how things work. I to point to the manuals like this, but there really is no difference between me copy pasting pieces of the manual for you here or you just reading it yourself. It looks like a lot but its indexed pretty well and you can just look for the info you need when you need it.

Here is a good starting point:

Getting your site up and running

For downloads, links, manuals, info etc. just use the big blue buttons on top of the site.
To connect to your Palace server (when its up and running) you can use this adress:

127.0.0.1
or
Localhost

Click on either of those and it should open your Palace client and take you there. Make sure your Palace server is running first.

good luck.

MsB0st0n 01-09-2007 12:43 PM

Ok,Now I have my palace connected now how do I link it on my website?

01/09/2007 06:37:02 {AOFDIAG} {ZDGIBEGNFF} God "Change Name"

Thats the one thing I could complicated putting it on to my website and connect to the site administration page?because I get the palace link and page cannot be displayed.

Edit:I am looking at the link you gave me.

maarten 01-09-2007 05:34 PM

There is no site administration page anymore. The server and company that used to run it has gone bust.

You can put a link to your Palace on a website by adding:

palace:// to the beginning of the link.

If your IP is 155.155.155.155 and you want to put it in a link, it should look something like this:

palace://155.155.155.155

To get your IP you can surf to www.whatismyip.com

Try connecting to your Palace using that IP, only this way you know if anyone else can connect.

MsB0st0n 01-10-2007 12:53 AM

Ok that Ip worked and Im connected but I downloaded that java thing and I dont see no instructions on how to put it on my website.
