Can't register or have avs

Hi,
I'm using Macintosh client for Mac OSX 3.0.
After I get my code and download software, I try to register but button doesn't work. Also, when I go to prop rooms, I can't get any avs at all.

What's happening is that your software isn't registered. PalaceChat 3 is a pay client, which costs $20 USD. My guess is that you don't have a registration number since you haven't purchased it yet.

While that might seem insane to pay for the client, I was looking at their features and it seems worth it to me. I can't believe they can playback video wtihin the client. Imagine if this became widespread. Palace might turn into the YouTube of the internet.

In your original post it said palacechat cost $3 usd but on the site its $20 usd.

$3 would be a good price actually, as long as PaWn gets bhlabs to fork over the iptscrae code lol.

Wow, you're right. I guess I looked at the big number three on the payment page and thought it was the price. It was the version number. $20 is steep indeed.

So does BHlabs now own the scripting language?

That would solve the registering process but I was reading another post that said you don't have to pay to have Palace's full features (problem with av rooms) and that the problem is that the new Palace software doesn't support the old scripting language. I sure miss my old bot from 3 years ago. In fact I miss any bot because I tried to download a new one and nothing. Any ideas?

Technically Opentext owns the rights to anything Palace??

Or are you talking about RBscript? I think thats some open source scripting language like python???

Ok, that's confusing. The first line reads like a statement but is posed like a question. Which is it?

Since Opentext has taken control of The Palace Inc., have they done anything with the property? Are they connected with BHlabs in anyway?

And I use ???? because i'm slightly confused by the fact you didn't know this, because it is in the Wiki.

My (kinda out of date info) on BHLabs is: Its a group of used to be Palace hackers / scripters that used visual basics to make their own client.

Open text has no interest in doing anything with the Palace and as far as I know has sold pieces of the technology to other parties. From what I understood this means there is no chance anything official will ever happen with the Palace software.

The Palace Inc. was sold long before any of the trouble started to Electric communities which changed its name to Communities.com which killed off Palace in an attempt to survive with another chat called Passport. Open Text just took whatever was left of the Palace tech after the bankruptcy as some sort of paymeent for services to Communities.com.

Maybe we should make our own history page, it gets a bit confusing after a while.
